Rent a paint sprayer from a neighbor near you
Spraying a fence, a set of cabinet doors or a whole exterior takes a fraction of the time rolling does, and an airless sprayer is a once-a-decade purchase. Rent one and spend the savings on better paint.
What it costs to rent a paint sprayer
Rental counters typically charge about $40 to $90 a day for a paint sprayer, plus a damage waiver and tax. On Rentsome, neighbors set their own daily rate, and it is usually lower because they are not running a store. Every booking adds a 15% service fee (minimum $2) and sales tax, both shown before you confirm. A refundable security deposit is held on your card, never charged, and released 72 hours after you return it.
A new paint sprayer runs roughly $100 to $500. At about $65 a day, renting stays cheaper until you have used it around 5 days in total, before counting storage, maintenance and the resale value you never get back.

Request a paint sprayerWhat people rent a paint sprayer for
- Fences and decks
- Cabinet doors and furniture
- Exterior siding
- Ceilings and large interior walls
Check at pickup
- Confirm the tip size suits your material; thick exterior paint needs a larger tip.

- Check the hose and gun trigger lock.
- Mask everything; overspray travels.
Renting a paint sprayer: common questions
How long does cleanup take?
Plan 30 to 45 minutes to flush an airless sprayer properly. Do it immediately after you finish; dried paint in the pump is the common damage.
How does the security deposit work?
It is a hold on your card sized to the item’s declared value, never a charge. It releases automatically 72 hours after you return the item, unless the owner files a damage claim within that window.
